La Gentilhommiere is a spacious, stylish country house offering accommodation for up to eight in four bedrooms. The name means Country Seat and the property was built by a discerning gentleman on the edge of the agricultural hamlet of Bourniquel. Surrounded by meadows, softly undulating hills and woodlands it is a perfect choice for those seeking peace and tranquillity.

The heated pool for the exclusive use of guests is situated in the back garden well placed to enjoy sun all day whilst affording spectacular views down the valley to Lalinde. Figure eight in shape the pool is 9x6m with ladder entrance at the shallow end of 1m with a deeper end of 1.5m. Heated and covered overnight the pool is cleaned daily.

The front courtyard provides ample parking space for vehicles. La Gentilhommiere is a private home, well equipped and comfortable.

Centrally heated by gas with wood stove in the lounge the house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms is welcoming at any season. Additional amenities include satelite TV, Video/DVD, Hi-Fi. La Gentilhommiere is set on the edge of the hamlet of Bourniquel. The village is the centre of an agricultural commune of some fifty five inhabitants . It is one of the smallest communes in France having its own Mayor.With rolling fields, streams, woodlands and wonderful wildlife to watch it has to be one of the most delightful too.

Just 4kms from the riverside Bastide town of Lalinde for everyday shopping and services, to reach airports it is just 25 kms to Bergerac and 130 to Bordeaux, so you are secluded without being isolated.

La Gentilhommiere will accommodate a total of eight but the party mix cannot exceed six adults and two children.
